Lana Del Ray
Album: Lana Del Ray
Year: 2010
Genre: indie pop, blues
Rating: 7 / 10 8.5 / 10
Fav tracks: You Can be the Boss, Gramma

I'm not sure if I can think of any more definitive genre of her music (kind of suck at it, so I stole the tag), but if you know Florence + the Machine, her "Born to Die" indeed reminds me of Florence's. Born to Die is the title of her upcoming album (to be released on 27 Jan, 2012) and also a song in said album. Even though I love Born to Die very much, this first album is just decent, not quite typically something I can get obsessed with. But if you like female vocalists whose music doesn't fall into electronic music category, you might like this album.

Artist: Bag Raiders
Country: Australia
Album: Bag Raiders
Year: October, 2010
Genre: Electronic, dance
Stars: ★★★★★★★✰ (7.8/10)
Fav tracks: Shooting Star, Sunlight, Not Over (music videos)

Been listening to them since days or weeks ago, so their magical power may have worn off a bit. But those of my fav tracks are definitely addicting, in my opinion. Particularly Shooting Star. I have also watched four of their music videos, and all of which left me speechless. I do not know what to think now. Especially after watching Shooting Star and Fun Punch.

Artist: Gypsy & the Cat
Country: Australia
Album: Gilgamesh
Year: 2010
Genre: Electropop, dreamwave, synthpop
Stars: ★★★★★★★★✰(8.5/10)
Fav tracks: Gilgamesh, Watching Me Watching You, Running Romeo, Breakaway

Just tried the album today, and liked it very much. It sounds a bit like 80's music indeed. It's good. It sounds like a pretty sad album, too :( I love their voices. By the way, they're listed in Bag Raiders' similar artists section on last.fm, which is not quite if you asked me. But you decide.
